Kisspeptin-10

Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest fragment of the body's own peptide kisspeptin (metastin) that retains full activity at the KISS1R receptor. In research it is used to trigger GnRH release directly and to study the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis in questions of pubertal development, hypogonadism, and fertility. Larger clinical trials on endpoints such as oocyte maturation or sexual arousal mostly used the longer natural isoform kisspeptin-54, which acts on the same receptor.
